53rd Annual Polar Bear Plunge – Lake Havasu 2026 Was WILD & FREEZING! 🐻‍❄️💦

January 10, 2026. Lake Havasu, London Bridge Beach. Channel mouth. Over 100 brave souls showed up. The water? A chilly ~57°F. The energy? Pure Arizona chaos and heart.

Hundreds gathered under clear blue skies. Families. Friends. First-timers. Veterans with 20+ plunges. Costumes everywhere. Screams. Laughs. High-fives. $5 to jump in. Free to watch. Everyone who plunged got the legendary Polar Bear patch.

The countdowns were electric. 12:00 PM. 12:30 PM. 1:00 PM group waves. People ran, cannon-balled, belly-flopped, and belly-laughed their way into the Colorado River. The looks on their faces when they hit the water? Priceless.

Funny moments? Oh yeah. One guy in a full Santa suit belly-flopped so hard his beard froze. A group of friends linked arms and went in screaming, “Havasu!” A few brought Polar bear masks, and someone a rubber duck floatie… it didn’t survive the cold 😂

This tradition has been running for 53 years. Still growing. Still freezing. Still bringing our community together like nothing else.
