From USMC Base To A Star is Born! Me And My Havasu Humvee

Me And My Humvee

From Auction Gavel to Desert Anthem: How My Humvee Became a Song
By Tony Q – Lake Havasu, Arizona

A few months ago, I did something most people call “insane.” I raised my paddle at a government surplus auction. I walked away the proud owner of a 1991 desert-tan ex-USMC Humvee. No doors, no AC, one cracked windshield, and a fuel gauge that only worked when it felt patriotic.

Fast-forward through weeks of wrenching, parts runs, and a lot of swearing in two languages. She finally roared back to life. Her unmistakable diesel growl turns heads from the London Bridge to the dunes.

To celebrate, I did what any normal Havasu guy would do: I wrote a song about it.

“Me and My Havasu Humvee” is equal parts love letter and victory lap. It involves cruising Main Street and flexing on the bridge. It includes bikini passengers living their best lake life. It’s that feeling when you roll up, and the whole town knows you arrived.

The music video mixes real footage of the day I trailered her home. It also includes some wild AI-generated chaos. Only Lake Havasu can inspire such chaos.

Check it out. Turn it up loud. If you see a desert-tan beast rumbling through town blasting this track, that’s probably me.
